The UN Voluntary Fund for Victims of Torture is managed by the United Nations Human Rights Office and provides direct humanitarian, medical, psychological, legal, social and financial assistance to victims of torture through NGOs, rehabilitation centres, victims' associations, hospitals and legal clinics.

Since its establishment by the United Nations General Assembly in 1981, it has awarded grants to more than 600 organizations assisting over 50,000 victims worldwide every year including VIVRE CAPREC and WCHAN, the organisations featured in these films. Here we listen to the testimonials of those who work with torture survivors to help rebuild lives.
